Dorset Music Forum's Online Platform Brings Opportunities For Local Bands

Dorset Music Forum launches its new website in August. Part of a national industry network, there are many good reasons for bands to register and create their artist profile.

DMF are working with forums over the South West to find the right artists to perform at major industry events, and to be in the running you need to have a profile on the site. Events include Music South West in Bristol this November, SXSW in Austin Texas in March 2011 and Brighton's Great Escape in May 2011.

Teenage Rampage this Saturday in Bournemouth

Following a fantastic opener to the Teenage Rampage Summer Tour 2010 at the recent and consistently brilliant MIX Festival near Exeter (with big thanks to Devon Music Service), then TR Apprentices working on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury the other weekend and TR band
Napoleon In Rags playing a blinder on the BBC Introducing Stage (check it out right here ) we kick off the tour proper this weekend with the Teenage Rampage Bristol Heat!

Suzanne Vega to play O2 Academy Bournemouth

Suzanne Vega, one of music’s most distinctive singers and storytellers, comes to O2 Academy Bournemouth on Tuesday 13th July. Suzanne heads out on a European tour this summer, but has added extra dates at O2 Academy venues in Bournemouth and Oxford. The show at O2 Academy Bournemouth will be the first to feature the venue’s alternative configuration as a fully-seated theatre with brand new, stand-alone upholstered seats.

Both Ben and Rob entertained the fans at the Rellentless Boardmasters Main stage & Beach Sessions 2009 in Newquay - they find themselves on the same stage again to launch Boardriders Live. HOT-DESKING FOR CREATIVE BUSINESSES

Dorset Music Forum is providing a fantastic new service for small and start-up businesses in the creative industries, with the introduction of the new DMF Business Club.

The DMF Business Club benefits include use of hot-desking faciltiies at the headquarters in Boscombe, with wi-fi, meeting room space, priority use of the Live and rehearsal rooms.

Dorset Music Forum was set up in 2008 by local businesses to provide an independent organisation to facilitate the sharing of information, best practice and contacts with the mission to help develop the live music in the local area.

Job Opportunities For Young Music Leaders

The BMF is looking for 8 Music Leaders to work as part of the Teenage Rampage Summer Tour 2010.

We are now looking to appoint Music Leaders in Cornwall, Plymouth, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Swindon, Gloucestershire and Dorset to work from 14th June to early October 2010.

On 25th and 26th September 2010 Teenage Rampage will take over a stage at the fast growing Bristol Festival taking place on the harbourside right in the centre of the city.
